Wondering #1 was all about how you feel about a classroom community. The whole focus was on how you feel about working in groups and being in a class room setting that emphasizes group work and talking amongst each other. I thought this would be a good piece to include because it is how I felt at the beginning of the semester and this paper was basically how the class was ran the whole semester. It was almost like a good way to foreshadow what I was going to be doing this semester.
Wondering #3 was all about what kind of writings we had done throughout the semester. I knew this would be a great artifact to include in the portfolio because it solely revolves around my story as a writer this semester. I talked a lot about how we mostly do reflective writing and how it helps me to feel more free as a writer. At this time we had also done an individual inquiry paper, which was completely different from reflections. I think it is good we did this writing too because it has taught me that there is a large variety of different kinds of writing that I will be using in college.
Our last major assignment was something I had never done before so I figured it would be perfect for my portfolio. It was an inquiry research paper, so I had to let my research guide my writing in a much different way that a normal research paper would. I wanted to include this assignment because it is one more thing that shows how different our writings were throughout the semester, which is a good thing though because it has taught us several different ways to express ourselves. I enjoyed this project more than most because it was different and easy way to let my research guide me while staying within the guidelines.
